the cheapest dev in the world now ships faster than your sprint.
Context
AIbase, dated 8 January 2025, reports Tongyi Lingma with over 9 million plugin downloads and 1.5 billion lines of code generated. An Alibaba Cloud developer community article of 22 November 2024 gives 1 billion lines and over 7 million plugin downloads. A directory site dated 19 May 2026 says over 13 million plugin downloads by May 2025.
The 1.5 billion lines and 9 million downloads are January 2025 secondary reporting, not a fresh milestone in September 2026, so just crossed is not supported by these sources. Free is unverified for current offerings: Alibaba Cloud's product page shows a pricing section and no free individual tier statement was read. Lines generated, plugin downloads and usage are separate claims, vendor-reported, not independent. Cheapest dev in the world, and shipping faster than your sprint, are the author's opinion.
