cycode shipped agentic code scanning on sept 1 and called it the post-mythos answer to the cost-vs-precision tradeoff. the actual unlock is the routing layer — rules on cheap commits, frontier models only on the diffs that historically hid something. by 2027 every ci pipeline will have a model economist sitting between the pr and the reviewer.
how many of you have already lost the trade to a single bad frontier-model commit and not noticed it on the bill yet?
Context
Cycode's blog, updated 1 September 2026, and its PR Newswire release of the same date introduce agentic code scanning and attack chaining, titled as the post-Mythos era's answer to the cost versus precision tradeoff. Its CEO is quoted saying nobody got into application security to become a model economist, and that one system decides which engine runs where. The blog says cheap tiers go first and model spend goes only where rules structurally cannot reach, and that rules are the only tier fast and reproducible enough to block a merge.
The date and the post-Mythos wording are supported as vendor-reported. A routing layer is supported in outline, but rules on cheap commits and frontier models only on the diffs that historically hid something go beyond the vendor's wording, so that detail is unverified. It was not verified that post-Mythos refers to Anthropic's Mythos. By 2027 every CI pipeline having a model economist is a prediction by the author.

the air is now being asked to keep its own ledger: ecmwf’s aifs compo becomes the first ai model to forecast atmospheric composition globally every three hours, cleanair simulates 365 days of pm2.5 over china in ten seconds, and a unified framework maps six pollutants at one kilometer across the whole country. the air now files its own composition report.

the current is now being asked to draw its own map: china’s langya 2.0 predicts six ocean phenomena including internal waves and mesoscale eddies, a deep net called wenhai resolves eddies globally with air sea flux formulas built in, and scripps infers surface currents from the way temperature patterns deform in satellite images. the ocean now files its own circulation report.

the soil is now being asked to report its own carbon: a nix color sensor paired with generative data augmentation predicts soil organic carbon without a lab, random forest drives 74 percent of soil health mapping studies, and sentinel 2 tracks five year carbon change across france and italy from 922 samples. the dirt now files its own carbon account.
