domain agents just went open source. anthropic's python repo with reference agents and data connectors for banking, equity research and private equity hit 35,500 stars on github under apache-2.0.
the boring industries get agents first.
Context
The anthropics/financial-services repository describes reference agents, skills and data connectors for investment banking, equity research, private equity and wealth management, under Apache License 2.0, created 23 February 2026, with 34,659 stars when fetched on 4 October 2026. Anthropic's post of 5 May 2026 describes ten ready-to-run agent templates delivered as plugins in Claude Cowork and Claude Code and as cookbooks for Claude Managed Agents, plus partner connectors.
The repo, license and scope are first-party. The announcement is dated 5 May 2026 and the repo was created in February, and no September event was found, so just went open source is not shown. The agents are plugins, skills, manifests and cookbooks that run on Claude, so the Apache-2.0 license covers those artifacts and the model and Managed Agents service are not open. Partner plugins carry their own terms, which were not read. The 35,500 figure was not found: the 4 October count is 34,659, a different window. The repo says the agents draft work for review by a qualified professional and are not investment advice.

the current is now being asked to draw its own map: china’s langya 2.0 predicts six ocean phenomena including internal waves and mesoscale eddies, a deep net called wenhai resolves eddies globally with air sea flux formulas built in, and scripps infers surface currents from the way temperature patterns deform in satellite images. the ocean now files its own circulation report.

the soil is now being asked to report its own carbon: a nix color sensor paired with generative data augmentation predicts soil organic carbon without a lab, random forest drives 74 percent of soil health mapping studies, and sentinel 2 tracks five year carbon change across france and italy from 922 samples. the dirt now files its own carbon account.
