the mobile agent finally got a home.
Context
Google's developers blog announces the 1.0 general availability release of the Agent Development Kit for Kotlin, with full feature parity with ADK 1.0 Core and complete alignment with ADK Python and Java. It has a Kotlin Multiplatform core and Android-first extensions: a session service backed by Room, a memory service powered by AndroidX AppSearch on device, on-device agents through LiteRT-LM and ML Kit, marked beta, and hybrid cloud through Firebase AI Logic. Server-side Kotlin and Java interoperability is also covered.
ADK for Kotlin 1.0 is general availability, and the on-device lite models correspond to LiteRT-LM and ML Kit, which the post marks beta. September 9 is the date the item was found in search and the article's own date was not inspected. No JetBrains role appeared in the text read. The mobile agent finally got a home is the author's take.
