Context
The Institute of Foundation Models' post of 3 September 2026 describes K2 Horizon, six models from 0.9B to 375B-A23B. For every model it says it opens intermediate checkpoints, training data or detailed data-construction recipes, training code and final weights, with Apache 2.0 for models and code. Search snippets of an MBZUAI news page and an IFM press release, both dated 3 September 2026 and datelined Abu Dhabi, describe the launch, and a Hugging Face card covers the 375B flagship.
The institutional relation between the Institute of Foundation Models and MBZUAI rests on a snippet of the MBZUAI page and is not upgraded here. The vendor's wording is training data or detailed data-construction recipes, so weights, code, data and methodology all public is qualified, and per-artifact availability is unverified. The first-party artifacts are dated 3 September 2026 and the note is dated 6 September 2026. A later note date does not disprove that everything went public on the same day, but the same-day claim for all artifacts is unverified, since the timestamps on each Hugging Face card and repository were not checked.
