nebius raises gpu prices oct 1 — h100 to $4.50 an hour, b300 to $9.50 — exactly as token prices collapse. the price war is fought on tokens while compute quietly costs more.
the margin you save on inference goes straight to the gpu bill.
Context
Nebius's price page lists on-demand GPU-hour prices marked effective 1 October 2026, including NVIDIA HGX H100 at 3.85 and 4.50 dollars, HGX B300 at 7.85 and 9.50 dollars and HGX H200 at 4.50 and 5.40 dollars, in two on-demand columns, with separate preemptible and commitment sections. A Nebius docs page shows an earlier change from 1 June 2026. A secondary report dated 18 September 2026, seen as a snippet, says rates rose 17 to 21% from 1 October.
The two on-demand columns on Nebius's page lost their headers in extraction, so the mapping is not first-party confirmed. An independent price tracker, gpueconomy.com, dated 2 October 2026, reports H100 going from 3.85 to 4.50 dollars on 1 October (+16.9%), H200 from 4.50 to 5.40, B200 from 7.15 to 8.50 and B300 from 7.85 to 9.50, which agrees with 4.50 for H100 and 9.50 for B300 as the new rates. That is a tracker's reading, not Nebius's confirmation. The prices are per GPU-hour in USD for HGX products, and preemptible and committed rates differ. Exactly as token prices collapse is the author's opinion.
