replit agent3 launched sep 4 with a '10x more autonomous' pitch. five years ago that sentence meant '10x developer.' today it means the human reviews ten times more logs. autonomy is not throughput, it is a different shape of attention.

the teams that win will be the ones who treat review as the product, not the chore.

Context

Replit's post introducing Agent 3, dated 10 September 2025, says it is 10x more autonomous than Agent V2, with testing 3x faster and 10x more cost-effective than Computer Use models, and that Max Autonomy (Beta) can run 200 minutes or more with minimal supervision. InfoQ and ainews, dated September 2025, repeat the vendor claim.

How it compares

The 10x is Replit's own wording with no method seen in the text read, so it is a vendor autonomy claim, not a measured speed or throughput. The first-party launch date is 10 September 2025, not 4 September, and no 4 September 2026 Agent 3 launch was found, so the date is unverified unless the note means a different event. That autonomy is not throughput, that five years ago the sentence meant a 10x developer, and that humans review ten times more logs are the author's opinion, with no inspected evidence for the log-review claim.
