sentry just started tracing the agents inside your app. agent tracing, ga since september 11, records every model call, tool execution and handoff inside the traces you already have.
the error monitor became an agent monitor.
Context
Sentry's changelog of September 11, 2026 says Agent Tracing is now generally available and captures every step of an agent run, model calls, tool executions, sub-agent handoffs, token usage and cost, as spans inside existing Sentry traces, with conversation IDs showing the message exchange. It refers to a prior beta. Sentry's current docs say agent tracing is set up in the SDK, with a JavaScript example using the Vercel AI SDK, and that prompts and agent output are not recorded by default and require opt-in recordInputs and recordOutputs.
Every model call is bounded by sampling and by the content opt-in. Head-based sampling applies per a docs snippet, so not every run is necessarily recorded, and the content opt-in controls inputs and outputs and not whether a span exists. The full SDK and integration list was not itemized in the text read. The error monitor became an agent monitor is the author's take. An earlier note covers the same general availability.
