Tencent open-sourced browserskill, a mit-licensed bridge that lets claude code, cursor, and codex…

Yethikrishna ROriginal on Threads

tencent open-sourced browserskill, a mit-licensed bridge that lets claude code, cursor, and codex drive your real authenticated browser instead of a headless one. the login state you already trust is now the agent's environment.

the browser session just became the api.

Context

The Tencent/BrowserSkill repository is MIT licensed and describes a CLI plus extension for browser automation across any shell-capable AI agent. It connects Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, CodeBuddy, WorkBuddy, Pi, Hermes Agent and DeepSeek Harness to your already logged-in browser, reuses real login state, and has built-in human-in-the-loop when a task hits a captcha, login or confirmation. Chrome and Edge are supported, with Firefox planned.

How it compares

The license, the real-login-state design and the named agents are first-party. The repository page read gave no open-sourcing date, so open-sourced as a recent event is undated. The repo's human-in-the-loop text is its own stated safeguard, and no security review was inspected. The login state you already trust being the agent's environment is the author's opinion.
