Context
The dyad-sh/dyad repository describes a local, open-source AI app builder for power users, like Lovable, v0 or Bolt but running on your machine. It was created on 11 April 2025 and its README lists local operation with no vendor lock-in, bring your own AI API keys, Mac and Windows support and no sign-up. Code outside src/pro is Apache 2.0 and code within src/pro is fair-source under the Functional Source License 1.1 Apache 2.0, and GitHub shows the license as Other. It showed 21,254 stars when read on 4 October 2026.
Local desktop app, bring your own keys and no sign-up are supported. The README says to use your own API keys, so any model you plug in is broader than the text read. No first-party sentence about exporting code or ownership was found, so exports code you own is unverified as worded.
