the ai programming market just priced itself again. replit closed a $250m series c on september 19 at a $3b valuation, with annual revenue leaping from $2.8m to $150m in one year.
the agent ide is now a venture-scale category.
Context
Replit's Series C announcement, dated 10 September 2025, says the company announced a 250 million dollar round valuing it at 3 billion dollars, almost three times its last raise in 2023, after growing annualized revenue from 2.8 million to 150 million dollars in less than a year, with Prysm Capital leading and Agent 3 launching the same day. A Reuters item dated 10 September 2025 carries the same figures. A Replit post of 11 March 2026 reports a 400 million dollar round at a 9 billion dollar valuation.
The round, valuation and revenue figures are supported as company-reported, and the revenue is annualized run-rate and not audited annual revenue, so the note's annual revenue is looser than the source. September 19 is not supported: the first-party announcement is dated 10 September 2025, a year before the note, and no 19 September close or 2026 Series C at 3 billion dollars was found. The March 2026 round is a different round and does not refute the note's numbers. That the agent IDE is now a venture-scale category is the author's opinion.
