the cross-platform ui framework just shipped agent skills and generative ui. lynx 4.0, out september 11, adds a2ui and openui generative ui, reactlynx dynamic elements and foldable device support.
the ui pipeline now starts with a prompt.
Context
The Lynx 4.0 post of September 11, 2026 lists agent skills lynx-api-docs, lynx-a2ui and lynx-openui, installed with npx skills add lynx-community/skills from a community-maintained repository. The lynx-a2ui skill builds on a previously released A2UI renderer and reads the app's capability catalog first. The lynx-openui skill generates an OpenUI Lang v0.5 program rendered through @lynx-js/genui/openui with streaming, reactive state and tool calls. The post also lists ReactLynx createElement and cloneElement, foldable support where the host passes size changes to Lynx, and global memory queries on iOS and Android.
The generative UI here is an earlier A2UI renderer plus newly installable skills, with the skills in a community repository. Global memory queries are memory diagnostics that collect usage attributed to live Lynx instances, and they are not described as agents reading app state. The ui pipeline now starts with a prompt is the author's take.
