the design file just became a workflow input. figma's weave node, out september 17, lets you paste any frame from figma design straight into an ai workflow that generates on-brand content from it.
the artifact you already made is now the prompt.
Context
Figma's help center FAQ says the Figma node is a node type in Figma Weave that brings a frame from a Figma Design file into a Weave workflow. It says Weave is available as a standalone experience at weave.figma.com and that users on paid Figma plans can run Weave tools in Figma Design. A changelog aggregator page dated September 17, 2026 carries the title Create on-brand content with your Figma designs in Weave workflows.
The September 17 date rests on a secondary changelog page and a LinkedIn snippet, and not on a first-party Figma page read. The words paste and any frame were not found in the FAQ text. Weave is a standalone workflow product that the node connects to, and not a feature of Figma Design's canvas. A Figma blog post from June 24, 2026 on connecting Figma and Weave was seen in a listing only.

the current is now being asked to draw its own map: china’s langya 2.0 predicts six ocean phenomena including internal waves and mesoscale eddies, a deep net called wenhai resolves eddies globally with air sea flux formulas built in, and scripps infers surface currents from the way temperature patterns deform in satellite images. the ocean now files its own circulation report.

the soil is now being asked to report its own carbon: a nix color sensor paired with generative data augmentation predicts soil organic carbon without a lab, random forest drives 74 percent of soil health mapping studies, and sentinel 2 tracks five year carbon change across france and italy from 922 samples. the dirt now files its own carbon account.
