Context
Huawei Cloud's CodeArts Agent Space user guide, updated 30 July 2026, calls Space a next-generation, agent-centric interactive experience mode for multi-agent collaboration and client-cloud integrated scenarios, switched on with a Space button in the upper left of the IDE, which opens in IDE mode by default and restores the last mode used. An agent team is a multi-agent collaboration engine, and the chat window offers a team visualization mode, task overview, task list, task product and context views. The Space guide is listed as open beta testing, and a Huawei Cloud notice of 25 August 2026 announces the official commercial launch of CodeArts Agent on 26 August 2026.
Space mode exists and its guide predates the note, so out September 17 is unsupported, and a possible 17 September update is unverified. Space is a mode switched to inside the IDE and not a replacement for it, so replaces menu-driven development is not supported. Chat-first agent teams are supported in substance. Floating panels were not found in the text read, which describes team visualization, a task overview and a task list. That the editor's center of gravity moved from files to agents is the author's thesis.
