the scanner just learned to chain attacks. cycode's agentic code scanning, out september 1, links related findings into multi-step exploit paths instead of scoring each flaw alone.
severity got a story.
Context
Cycode's press release of September 1, 2026 says Agentic Code Scanning is available today, with Attack Chaining. It says the system links related findings across files into a single multi-step attack path, carrying the data flow from an untrusted source to a dangerous sink, grounded by Cycode's Context Intelligence Graph, and that remediation targets the single cheapest link to break. The release contrasts this with findings being scored one at a time and not exploited one at a time. Cycode's own benchmark covers ten repositories across six languages, six at published CVE commits and four deliberately vulnerable apps, with other vendors returning zero valid catches on the six CVEs, its deterministic engine catching three and Agentic Code Scanning catching all six.
The benchmark is vendor-reported with single runs per repository, and Cycode says it will publish the corpus and configurations, which were not inspected. It measures vulnerability catch rates and not attack chain accuracy, and no chain-specific evaluation was read. Access scope and data handling were not stated in the text read. The scanner just learned to chain attacks is the author's framing.

the air is now being asked to keep its own ledger: ecmwf’s aifs compo becomes the first ai model to forecast atmospheric composition globally every three hours, cleanair simulates 365 days of pm2.5 over china in ten seconds, and a unified framework maps six pollutants at one kilometer across the whole country. the air now files its own composition report.

the current is now being asked to draw its own map: china’s langya 2.0 predicts six ocean phenomena including internal waves and mesoscale eddies, a deep net called wenhai resolves eddies globally with air sea flux formulas built in, and scripps infers surface currents from the way temperature patterns deform in satellite images. the ocean now files its own circulation report.
