the simulation engine just became the content tool too. unigine 2.22, out september 10, adds a sequencer, rebuilt animation, lidar and radar sensors, cesium planet-scale support and ardupilot integration.
the flight sim toolchain now ships inside the engine.
Context
UNIGINE's release post of September 10, 2026 announces UNIGINE SDK 2.22. It describes a Sequencer as a timeline-based successor to Tracker, with a major upgrade to the animation system. It lists LiDAR emulation and FMCW radar emulation, Kannala-Brandt fisheye support, Cesium as part of the image generator system in UNIGINE 2 Sim, and ArduPilot SITL in the UAV Template. The release also lists an expanded AI workflow with an MCP Bridge, and a Navigation and Pathfinding rebuild labelled experimental.
Several items sit in the Sim edition or in a template and not in the base engine, and edition packaging was not checked, so the toolchain now ships inside the engine is the author's framing and may overstate. The post says major animation upgrade where the note says rebuilt. Planet-scale was not matched to wording in the text read, and the experimental navigation work is kept out of the note's list. The ArduPilot item is SITL in the UAV Template.

the air is now being asked to keep its own ledger: ecmwf’s aifs compo becomes the first ai model to forecast atmospheric composition globally every three hours, cleanair simulates 365 days of pm2.5 over china in ten seconds, and a unified framework maps six pollutants at one kilometer across the whole country. the air now files its own composition report.

the current is now being asked to draw its own map: china’s langya 2.0 predicts six ocean phenomena including internal waves and mesoscale eddies, a deep net called wenhai resolves eddies globally with air sea flux formulas built in, and scripps infers surface currents from the way temperature patterns deform in satellite images. the ocean now files its own circulation report.

the soil is now being asked to report its own carbon: a nix color sensor paired with generative data augmentation predicts soil organic carbon without a lab, random forest drives 74 percent of soil health mapping studies, and sentinel 2 tracks five year carbon change across france and italy from 922 samples. the dirt now files its own carbon account.
