the terminal just learned to restart its agents. 1devtool's autopilot, out september 16, relaunches a crashed agent in the same terminal with its session intact.
the agent got a self-healing loop.
Context
The 1DevTool changelog introduces Autopilot under v1.75.0. With it turned on in Agent Orchestration, AI Diagnosis, an agent that crashes or drops its connection mid-task is restarted in the same terminal with its session resumed and told to continue, or its seat's backup takes over. It never types into a question, picker or half-written prompt, gives up after three spaced tries with an Activity card instead of a restart loop, and logs every decision. It is opt-in. A later maintenance release notes fixing a restart loop on a stuck Devin tab, with field data of 40 restarts in four days that is vendor-reported.
The September 16 release date is not shown in the changelog text read, so it is unverified. The changelog says session resumed, and the text does not guarantee the session is fully intact. This is the 1DevTool product and is not the Microsoft terminal covered in earlier notes. The agent got a self-healing loop is the author's take.

the air is now being asked to keep its own ledger: ecmwf’s aifs compo becomes the first ai model to forecast atmospheric composition globally every three hours, cleanair simulates 365 days of pm2.5 over china in ten seconds, and a unified framework maps six pollutants at one kilometer across the whole country. the air now files its own composition report.

the current is now being asked to draw its own map: china’s langya 2.0 predicts six ocean phenomena including internal waves and mesoscale eddies, a deep net called wenhai resolves eddies globally with air sea flux formulas built in, and scripps infers surface currents from the way temperature patterns deform in satellite images. the ocean now files its own circulation report.
