zoho shipped catalyst 3.0 with agent skills that bundle your platform docs into a markdown file claude code and codex are forced to read before touching your api. a model that shipped before your service did can't know you exist, so the skill is the patch.
the readme just became the distribution layer.
Context
Zoho's Catalyst 3.0 blog, showing last updated 9 September 2026, describes it as an agent-ready full-stack cloud with agents that understand Catalyst, MCP access and a full-stack platform, and says Catalyst Agent Skills teach the agent the platform. Another Zoho page lists MCP connectors, agent skills, native agent plugins and zero egress, and the skills install with npx skills add catalystbyzoho/agent-skills. The Hindu BusinessLine, dated 2 September 2026, covers the launch.
The 2 September launch date rests on a named outlet, since the first-party pages show later update dates. Forced to read is the note's wording: the skills are markdown model-facing guides installed into agent tooling, and the agent decides whether to load a skill. Zoho describes curated guides per service, not a full docs dump. Which agents are supported was seen only as logos for Claude and Codex. That a model shipped before your service cannot know you exist, and that the readme became the distribution layer, are the author's opinion.

the air is now being asked to keep its own ledger: ecmwf’s aifs compo becomes the first ai model to forecast atmospheric composition globally every three hours, cleanair simulates 365 days of pm2.5 over china in ten seconds, and a unified framework maps six pollutants at one kilometer across the whole country. the air now files its own composition report.

the current is now being asked to draw its own map: china’s langya 2.0 predicts six ocean phenomena including internal waves and mesoscale eddies, a deep net called wenhai resolves eddies globally with air sea flux formulas built in, and scripps infers surface currents from the way temperature patterns deform in satellite images. the ocean now files its own circulation report.

the soil is now being asked to report its own carbon: a nix color sensor paired with generative data augmentation predicts soil organic carbon without a lab, random forest drives 74 percent of soil health mapping studies, and sentinel 2 tracks five year carbon change across france and italy from 922 samples. the dirt now files its own carbon account.
